The answer to that question would depend on several factors such as; what is the exiting flooring, what is it's condition, and is this a sub-floor or poured foundation application? Vinyl may only be placed over existing flooring in these specific conditions, and as always, we suggest you call us to be sure:
1.) Existing flooring must be completely adhered to the sub floor/foundation - no bubbles or peeling
2.) Existing vinyl must be prepared with solvents and or other products specifically designed for the application
3.) Manufacturer's directions for new flooring product must specify that warrantee is still valid if installed over existing flooring
